Job Description

* Performs quality checks and audits on contract abstraction projects; Using legal skills to review, analyze and abstract a wide range of contracts including Patent License Agreements, IT Procurement Agreements, Web Hosting Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Software and Data License Agreements, Vendor Services Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Purchase and License Agreements, Sponsor Research Agreements, Inter Institutional Agreements, Supply and Distribution Agreements, Staffing, Consulting and Teaming Agreements, Lease Agreements, Estoppels and SNDAA and other commercial contracts
* Creates reference documents with minimal senior personnel review; language/communication skills enable effective escalation and ability to clarify language in documents and contextual meaning and editing on some occasions; participates and contributes on client calls.
* Delivers relevant reports to senior personnel consistent and timely fashion. Completes 80% of performance reviews and client invoices on time.
* Effective on the floor in terms of sharing learning/insights with peers/juniors/seniors.
* Prompt to spot/address/escalate issues that aren’t substantive issues (e.g. a workflow problem or suggestion; substantive issues covered in (1))
* Effectively communicate with counsel or the client with respect to instruction changes, suggestions for changes, and seeking/interpreting guidance.
* Can “set up” a project – e.g. set up P3 process codes with a vendor; coordinate with the same for usernames/passwords/access to data; create projects/engagements on Agility – with no oversight or reminders.
* General knowledge of contract management platforms, including managing assignments, workflow (including the ability to suggest changes to workflow). Individuals who are equally proficient in a greater number of platforms should be rated more highly than those whose knowledge is limited to particular platforms.
* Maximizes reporting/tracking ability.
