Job Description

Job Location: Belapur, Navi Mumbai

Role:
The AVP / VP - Business Development Manager would primarily be responsible for managing the sales team, initiating discusssions with potential clients and be part of closure activity

The detailed job description is as follows:
1. Managing the presales team to understand & analyze business processes, make proposals (RFP&RFI's), create sales support documents & marketing collaterals.
2. Handling a team of Business Development executives who do the prospecting and assist in initial call set up.
3. Perform sales and technical discussions with potential clients, presentations and preparation of proposals documents in order to increase revenue for the company.
4. Gradually taking up the responsibility of an Account Manager. Be actively involved in all stages in the sales pipeline, right from the initial conference call, pricing negotiations and initial call and final discussion along with the Top Management.
5. Be the face of the company in important conferences
6. Responsible for territory development which involves market research and analysis, identification of opportunity area, development of value propositions for identified markets, reaching out to prospects and initiating the sales process.
7. Keeping a tab on developments in the Maritime and allied industry, suggesting service offering improvements to help enable get more business.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:
Option 1: Naval Architect OR Ocean Engineering graduate with experience in Sales
Option 2: Strong experience in sales for shipbuilding, maritime industry, shipping, shipyard, ship repair, ship design, marine design, etc.

Work Experience: 12-20 years
