Job Description

1.Planning and organizing client engagements

2.Advising clients on strategic issues and provide a perspective on global trends and emerging practices on client assignments

3.Advising clients on international tax issues relating to cross border transactions,

4.Ensure delivery of quality work and take day to day leadership of delivery team and ensure compliance of all aspects of taxation

5.Working closely with head and Management to meet the organizational goals.

6.Develop a vibrant network through personal and brand visibility at seminars/ tax

7.To participate in conferences on M&A Tax

8.To attend and participate conferences by VC and PE industry

9.To contribute articles for publication in professional journals

Desired Candidate Profile

2-4 years+ post qualification experience in the gamut of direct tax advisory role and should have relevant M&A experience atleast for 1 year

At advanced level candidate should:

1.Possess in depth knowledge of Corporate Tax

2.Be capable in the development and implementation of structures on transactions like merger, demerger, spin offs, slump sale etc.

3.Be able to provide various options to the client and assist in choosing of the best available option

4.Be aware of the recent developments in the tax area, including tax disputes and be able to apply such knowledge to the work area

5.Be able to assess the tax risk of the transaction

6.Be able to take charge of the tax due diligence reviews

7.Have sufficient knowledge of Company Law, SEBI and other relevant laws

8.Have sufficient knowledge on international tax for cross border transactions

9.Have required knowledge of the standard clauses of the Court schemes and be aware of the procedure to be followed in filing applications and getting approval from the Court

10.Be able to identify the economic, broad business, legal and financial risks of a given transaction

11.Have an understanding of established management concepts and practices that may have application and impact on the transaction

12.Express ease with client communications

13.Have the ability for marketing, networking and business development within your area of experience and specialization
